This Clinical Content Policy defines how Ruqelo Health creates, structures, and publishes patient education articles. It exists to protect patient safety, promote health literacy, and ensure all content is grounded in authoritative international clinical guidelines.

All articles published on Ruqelo Health must comply with this policy. Articles generated in accordance with this policy are considered to have met the clinical review standards defined within it.

Ruqelo Health may publish:

• General educational information about medical conditions, symptoms, and wellness topics
• Plain-language explanations of investigations, treatments, and self-care approaches at a general level
• Guidance on when to seek urgent, routine, or emergency care
• Links to authoritative external organisations for further support
• Mental health education with appropriate crisis signposting

The following is never permitted in Ruqelo Health articles:

• Specific medication names, doses, brand names, or prescribing instructions
• Personal diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment recommendations for individual readers
• Definitive statements such as "The treatment is…", "You will need…", or "This always causes…"
• Content that replaces a consultation with a qualified healthcare provider
• Reproduction or paraphrasing of copyrighted text from external guideline organisations
• Emergency clinical assessment, triage, or dispatch services

Every patient education article follows a standard ten-section structure to ensure completeness and consistency:

• Overview — what the condition is, key facts, who it affects
• Symptoms — common symptoms, age-specific notes, emergency and urgent warning signs
• Causes — main causes and risk factors
• When to see a doctor — urgent, routine, and reassurance guidance
• Diagnosis — how diagnosis may be made and what to expect
• Treatment — general treatment approaches and self-care (no specific drug names)
• Living with the condition — day-to-day management and wellbeing
• Prevention — prevention, vaccines, and screening where relevant
• Complications — possible complications and general outlook
• Find support — international and local organisations and helplines

Every article must comply with all six of the following safety rules:

• No specific medications: never name drugs, doses, brands, or prescribing regimens
• No diagnosis: never tell the reader what condition they have or predict individual outcomes
• Healthcare provider referral: always advise consulting a qualified healthcare provider for personal decisions
• Emergency escalation: emergency symptoms must clearly instruct readers to call emergency services immediately
• Mental health crisis signposting: mental health articles must include crisis support reminders
• Allergy angioedema recognition: articles on allergies, anaphylaxis, urticaria, or allergic reactions must prominently describe angioedema (lip, tongue, throat, face, or airway swelling) and life-threatening airway warning signs

All articles use patient-centred, tentative language appropriate for general education:

• Symptoms: "You may notice…" or "Symptoms can include…" — never "Symptoms are…"
• Diagnosis: "You may be tested for…" or "Your doctor may check for…"
• Treatment: "You might be offered treatment such as…" or "Treatment options may include…"
• Prognosis: "The outlook varies from person to person…" — never definitive prognosis
• Investigations: "You may be asked to have…" or "Your doctor may arrange…"
• Procedures: "You might be referred for…" or "Some people are offered…"
• Treatment and prognosis sections must end with: "Your doctor is the best person to advise you on what is right for your individual situation."

Articles must be informed by authoritative international and regional sources including WHO, NHS, CDC, NICE, AHA, ESC, SIGN, ACC, and national health ministries.

Sources are cited by organisation name and link only. We never copy or reproduce text from external guideline documents.

Credibility labels on articles reflect cross-referencing with these sources — not endorsement of Ruqelo Health by those organisations.

Articles are updated annually or when significant guideline changes occur. Updates are conducted using AI systems cross-referenced against the latest versions of NICE, WHO, CDC, AHA, ESC, SIGN, ACC, and regional health authority guidelines. No AI engine names are disclosed publicly.
